Professional training to become a Field Guide, or to have an intimate African Bush Experience. Register now to became a part of the Zululand Conservation Legacy.

A comprehensive programme that includes 6 months of practical training, followed by an optional 6 months work placement.

Training includes all areas needed to work as field guide such as:
Practical Guiding Skills, Knowledge of nature, Wildlife Tourism and Trails Guiding in Dangerous Game areas.

We also focuss on specialist guiding areas such as Marine Guiding, Birding, Butterflying and Elephanting!

Our trainign venue is the Thanda Private Game reserve, home to the Big 5 and also including Wild Dog, Black Rhino and Hippo. Students are accommodated in thatched huts, in our unfenced camp in the Thanda Private Game Reserve. In addition to the stunning variety within this reserve, we also visit other local reserves with unique habitats including Sand Forest, Fig Forest and the Coastal forests of Kosi Bay in the Greater St. Lucia Wetlands Park.
