BUNAC is a not-for-profit organisation that has been helping adventurous individuals experience overseas working holidays for more than 45 years. Taking part in a BUNAC programme may change your life, affect your career choices and certainly alter the way you look at the world.

It also has the potential to be one of the most fun, rewarding, exciting and challenging things that you'll ever do. You can combine the everyday working life of countries such as Canada, New Zealand, USA and Australia with exciting travel opportunities:

Whether you're looking to take a year out between studies, pursue a career break, have recently graduated or are between jobs, a BUNAC working holiday gives you the freedom and flexibility of spending an extended period of time living and working in another country.

Spend the summer working with kids aged 6 to 16 on Summer Camp USA. It's a great value-for-money package that includes a return flight to the USA, comprehensive insurance and free food and accommodation for the duration of your time on camp for only £279.

Experience first-hand what it's really like to live and work in the USA on Work America. Use BUNAC's comprehensive Job Directory to find work before even setting foot in the States. After working and with America right there on your doorstep, holiday possibilities include some of the most exciting destinations on earth.

Work Canada offers you a fantastic chance to combine work and travel in a country that offers some of the best snowsport opportunities in the world. You have the opportunity to be truly independent taking virtually any job, anywhere in Canada for up to 12 months.

Work New Zealand and Work Australia give you the opportunity to experience life Down Under with the added security of BUNAC's global support network. You'll even have the chance to meet new friends before you touch-down on one of BUNAC's group flights!

With BUNAC you also have the option of contributing towards worthwhile and rewarding volunteer and teaching projects in countries such as China, Peru, Costa Rica, South Africa, Ghana, Cambodia or the USA.

Programmes last from five weeks to two years.

Costs / Pay

As a not-for-profit organisation, BUNAC aim to offer an affordable experience to all participants. Summer Camp USA offers a great value-for-money package including return flight to the USA, comprehensive insurance and free food/accommodation whilst on camp for only £279.

Volunteer programmes range in cost from £250 for 12 weeks on Volunteer USA (includes pre-departure advice and support, transport to projects, accommodation and food costs), to £1,665 for 12 months on Teach and Travel China (includes visa processing, residential TEFL course in Beijing, ongoing support, accommodation and meals).

Placement Info

BUNAC offer flexible working opportunities in countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Participants have the freedom and flexibility to pursue virtually any line of work that they wish, whether it is career-related, or more casual with the intention to make friends and travel money.

Summer Camp USA and BUNAC's overseas volunteer programmes offer more structured placements which are developed according to each participants skills, experiences and preferences.
