There are many camps in America who are Christian and who are looking specifically for Christians to work at their camps.

The majority of these would describe themselves as protestant evangelical. If you are a Christian and want to work in a Christian envirionment then make sure you ask to be added to this program or apply here as there are several open positions.

The camps in the southern states run early in the Summer (Mid-May onwards) so the earlier you are available the better your chances of being placed. This also means that you have a better opportunity to travel after camp throughout the USA as you finish earlier too!

This is available to anyone in any of the countries we take first-time participants from via their country offices supported by the Christian Camp Leaders Staff based in the UK.

In addition to the standard Camp Leaders application, we will require Christian Camp Leaders applicants to:

* Answer a series of questions designed to give us an insight into the depth of your faith in Christ.
* Provide your written personal testimony (if you have one).
* Participate in a short telephone interview designed to help us gain a better understanding of your faith.
* Provide a letter of reference from your Pastor/ Church Leader.

Working at a Christian camp will allow you the opportunity to experience an American summer camp with all its camaraderie and fun, whilst being able to grow and share your faith with others.

Christian Camp Leaders is a member of the Christian Camp and Conference Association (CCCA) and the American Camp Association (ACA). Our camps will belong to these and other camp associations that accredit and support them.

Costs / Benefits

For summer 2012, the fees are currently from £349 and this includes return transatlantic flights, meals & accommodation, medical insurance, our support and much more

At camp, you will receive pocket money of around $600---$1200 depending on age, skills and qualifications.

Requirements

* You must be at least 18 years old on the 1st June in the year you wish to go to camp
* Available to travel from early/mid June through to mid/late August
* Speak fluent English
* Have you a passport that is valid until the end of the year in which you wish to travel
* Be fit and healthy
* Have no criminal convictions
