The USA has a vast number of camps that categorise themselves as Jewish, ranging from those that follow more progressive Judaism to others that follow and practice Conservative Judaism.

These camps hire international staff for various roles at camp, but are particularly interested in hiring Jewish staff from around the world...And this is where Jewish Camp Leaders comes in!

Jewish Camp Leaders is a program offered by Camp Leaders and the application is the same as the standard Camp Leaders application. In addition, Jewish Camp Leaders applicants must answer questions designed to give us information on their Jewish faith and practices. We will then do our best to match each participant with a Jewish camp that best matches your skills and level of faith.

Who Should Apply?

Anyone 18 years or older (by June 1st, 2011) who:

* Has the usual high level of personal qualities we expect from counselor applicants for the Camp Leaders program.
* Is of the Jewish faith and wants to be actively involved in a Jewish program.

Start Dates

Must be available between May 1st and June 20th for a minimum of 9 weeks.

Costs / Benefits

For summer 2012, the fees are currently from £349 and this includes return transatlantic flights, meals & accommodation, medical insurance, our support and much more

At camp, you will receive pocket money of around $600-$1200 depending on age, skills and qualifications.

Requirements

* You must be at least 18 years old on the 1st June in the year you wish to go to camp
* Available to travel from early/mid June through to mid/late August
* Speak fluent English
* Have you a passport that is valid until the end of the year in which you wish to travel
* Be fit and healthy
* Have no criminal convictions
