The WESA program is EDGE of AFRICAs practical work experience wing and is separate to our volunteer projects. WESA currently offers work experience in the following fields:

Placement fees are project dependent however start at a base rate of R1000 (ZAR) for placement initiation and support followed by a weekly rate depending on amenities, catering and accommodation provided.

Requirements

In addition to particular practical placements, WESA participants will also have the opportunity of being involved in grass root programs and various EDGE of AFRICA volunteer projects working alongside international and local volunteers. This will not only broaden your international awareness but also enhance your appreciation of all local cultures and traditions within South Africa. EDGE of AFRICA has the support of national and international organizations, universities, companies, students and volunteers and therefore your level of exposure and development will be in the form of a large network of industries and professionals.
