All our Kenya projects require the following people - Doctors, Nurses, Counsellors, Teachers (for all subjects and for children of all ages) nursery nurses, sewing machinists, builders, painters, cabinet makers, in fact, almost all professions are needed in Kenya. These organisations focus on helping childen from local communities who have been orphaned due to their parents dying of AIDS. The devastating effects of this epidemic has meant that children are now on their own often looking after younger siblings. Unfortunately, there are many needy children in Africa who are now reliant upon outside help, both domestic and international. This means that volunteers are fundamental to the ongoing work of these projects.

Our volunteers are involved in a number of activities. Their work involves getting to the rural communities gathering information on needy cases; orphans, widows, the elderly, the disabled, HIV/ AIDS victims and the very poor.

Volunteers join the staff in the community and participate in trainings on micro-finance, food security, public health and environmental conservation.

Volunteers are also expected to accompany staff visiting public institutions to carry out HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns. This activity may require psychological counselling sessions.
