The only non-government organisation involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Mauritius and Rodrigues Island PILS is a non-profitable community based organization.

Hundreds of organizations are working to educate the public about HIV/AIDS, care for those already suffering, and fund research into new treatments.

It takes time, effort and the help of those willing to work to bring an end to this global threat. Can you offer the support, the love and understanding to those who have unfortunately contracted HIV/AIDS?

This programme located in Port-Louis in Mauritius needs volunteers to help them. You could choose to help with simple or complex office tasks, visit patients with a qualified social worker or help with preventive activities. Help conduct information sessions for schools, youth groups or the private sector. Whatever your choice, it will be worthwhile one.

Please be advised that although educated Mauritians do understand and speak English, most patients would not? As for preventive sessions most are also done in French or Creole. Therefore good basic French would be an advantage to you on this project.

The People of Mauritius need your time and help in fighting this terrible illness.
