Help to nurse sick and injured animals back to health in the heart of Argentina. You can get involved with all aspects of animal care before releasing these amazing creatures back into their natural habitat.
The centre we work with is near Posadas and cares for a range of animals including monkeys, birds, wild swine, jaguars, toucans and many other species. The project aims to promote the welfare of wild animals that are native to Argentina through rehabilitation and an innovative breeding programme.
Animals don’t do too well with itineraries so your duties will vary and may include feeding the animals, cleaning and repairing enclosures, assisting with observation and data collection, building new enclosures and giving guided tours of the centre. There may also be the opportunity to travel around the province with the staff on the lookout for injured animals who need help. You will need at least a basic level of Spanish for this project.
