A wonderful opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of children with learning difficulties; you will be able to absorb the tranquil beauty of Kerala and gain an insight into the culture and traditions of India.

The school helps to help educate over 70 children and young people with special needs in the Fort Kochi area. The school aims to give the children a better chance at independence by teaching them basic life skills.

Your role as volunteer will be focused on keeping the children happy, healthy and learning. Working between 9:30am and 3:30pm you will spend your days singing songs, telling stories, teaching Basic English, arts and crafts and caring for the children. There are also plenty of opportunities to arrange your own activities so if you have a special skill you’d like to share you’ll find the team very grateful!

Costs / Benefits

Trip prices vary depending on activity and duration. Our volunteer projects start from £499, Adventures start from £699 and Tours start from £599. All trips include accommodation, most meals, an airport pickup, in-country orientation, support in-country and 24 hour emergency support. Our expert advisers will guide you through everything you need right up until your departure and are always available to help once you are away!
