Radio Simba is one of the few Kenyan radio stations that embrace creativity and originality. At the radio station, one gets to have a first hand experience on how African radio stations are operated.
The station has achieved a lot in terms of curving a niche within the Kenyan media society having amassed an impressive number of listeners in Nairobi and other cities across the nation.
This is the station of choice for the young and the old alike as it knows and gives what people want to hear. The station that is situated in Nairobi?s Lavington Estate has received outstanding ovations and rating by a number of newspapers both local and international. Radio Simba strives to promote and preserve the Swahili language in a way that is modern and creative. This is the only station that takes interesting journeys back in music while keeping the current music alive, hence, creating a comfortable balance for both the young and the old generations.
The station?s skilled presenters, have a way of making the audience feel appreciated and involved in the station?s programs that are entertaining as they are educative and informative. There is always something to learn from Radio Simba, if it is not a new talented like an over looked artist in town, then it?s some interesting fresh and hot information that can be caught on its news bulletins.
Once oriented, a volunteer could help with various productions that include news and topical programs. Radio Simba is ran by highly qualified staff that is highly receptive to constructive ideas.
In cases where a program is Swahili and one would like to help the producer(s) with it preparations, a volunteer can do his bit then have the work translated from English to Swahili. It will also be perfect chance to learn a key opportunity to learn the Swahili language. Swahili is widely spoken across Eastern and Central Africa, making it one of the most famous languages in Africa, it has infarct been proposed to be the continent?s official indigenous language.
