Glimpse the many wonders of this lesser travelled gem from hidden waterfalls to ancient temples and get a real taste of local life wandering through mountain villages and helping at orphanages!
Week 1
Take in a vast array of stunning ancient sites from Angkor Wat to the remote temples of Banteay. You’ll experience the hustle and bustle of Siem Riep as well as rural Cambodian life with tours of local villages including a trip to see rice fields by ox-cart!
Week 2
After a trip to the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda it’s time to take your pick of adventure or community options in Phnom Penh;
Adventure option- Wander through the forests, villages and waterfalls of the Cardamom Mountains on trekking trip! There’ll be plenty of chances to swim in stunning lakes and admire the amazing views!
Community option- Help to care for underprivileged children in the orphanages of Phnom Penh and try your hand at making learning fun with basic teaching!

2 weeks
Real Gap Experience offer gap years, career breaks and adventure travel from 2 weeks to 2 years with weekly/monthly departures for most trips that aren’t dependant on seasons or weather to operate. Set departure dates means you’re always together with other young like-minded travellers and making new friends is guaranteed.
For all Volunteer, Adventure Travel, Sports and Learning New Skills trips, no salary is paid and participants will need to pay a fee that covers food, accommodation, transfers and 24/7 back-up and support. For our Paid Work Abroad options a salary is paid and varies depending on the trip and location.
There are no specific qualifications or requirements needed to take part on this trip. We do however require that all travellers have a sense responsibility for other travellers, project staff and local community and most importantly... a sense of fun and adventure!
