DAY 3 & 4 SAMBURU GAME RESERVE
After a morning game drive, head for Samburu Game Reserve, located in Kenya’s Northern Frontier District. Explore the Samburu area in search of Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, beisa oryx, gerenuk, dik dik and reticulated giraffe, which thrive in this harsh but picturesque landscape. This is the land of the Samburu tribesmen, a pastoral people related to the Maasai. The women wear layers of beads in choker fashion around their necks and the men are famous for their colorful adornment and high-jumping dances. Morning and afternoon game drives allow ample time to observe the abundant wildlife in this region. Optional camel excursions are also available.

DAYS 5–8 MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
This morning we fly to Maasai Mara Game Reserve and the Mara Intrepids Club nestled among trees at the river’s edge. World renowned for its wildebeest migration from July through September, this northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem is one of the world’s most rewarding wildlife observation sites. The rich savannah is famous for its concentration of plains game and their predators, including leopard, cheetah, and hyena. The next four days include both morning and afternoon game drives. You can take an optional hot air balloon safari over the Masai Mara! Opportunities for swimming at Mara Intrepids Club are also available. In the evenings, enjoy dinner beneath the star studded African sky.
