Opportunity, Education, Empowerment & Hope to people affected by poverty, HIV Aids. School for orphan children in one of the poorest regions of Ndola.

In Zambia LSFA run innovative projects for widows, orphans and vulnerable families in and around Ndola. This includes a primary school for orphaned children, a Home Based Care Programme delivering community care and support for those with HIV/Aids, Day-centres for vulnerable families, Empowerment Programmes for widows, Youth Development Programmes & specialist support for children with HIV/Aids.

In everything LSFA do the aim is to encourage people to be self-supporting being careful to respect cultural diversity. LSFA is a Christian based organisation working in partnership with multi denominational Christian churches in Zambia. LSFA welcomes people of all faiths and none.

LSFA offer volunteer placements for people, with a variety of skills, from 18+ years based from their purpose built accommodation at Lifespring Farm, Ndola, Zambia.
Duration / Dates

Volunteer placements of between 2 - 12 weeks available
March to Dec every year
some placements offered during Jan - March (rainy season) by negotiation

Volunteers cover costs of travel to Ndola & all travel/health insurance
Full board accommodation at Lifespring Farm £20 per night
Discounts available for bookings over 4 weeks

Volunteers can come from 2 to 12 weeks

Volunteers choose their own start date depending on their flight / transport arrangements.

Requirements

Volunteers must cover costs of transport to Ndola & Accommodation costs, have full travel insurance to cover medical costs. Volunteers must be in good physical health & have all innoculations & anti-malarial medication. 2 References required.
