Take a gap year in Cambodia and help conservation programs. Based in Koh Rong Samleon, Projects-Abroad's Conservation & Environment programme conducts pioneering research and conservation activities. The project is the first of its kind in Cambodia and supplies the Cambodian Fisheries administration with much needed data to help in their marine conservation efforts. Most of Cambodia's best dive sites are close by, including the rare seahorse breeding grounds.
Due to illegal fishing the population is very low. The protection of the seahorses was the reason the whole project began and you can help with the diving for research into how we can see an increase in numbers in the future as we expand the protected areas and continue research into their habitats and behaviour.
For more information about this gap year project please give Projects-Abroad a call today on 01903 708 300 or email Koreen on info@projects-abroad.co.uk.
