International Volunteer HQ’s partner organization in Uganda requires gap year volunteers NOW! IVHQ Uganda has a wide range of gap year volunteering opportunities available in orphanage work, teaching placements, medical work, HIV/Aids prevention program, sport development and construction and renovation placements in Uganda.
LOCATION OF UGANDA VOLUNTEER GAP YEAR PROGRAMS
IVHQ has gap year volunteer programs in and around the capital city of Kampala and also further afield in rural villages and townships throughout Uganda.
START AND DURATION OF UGANDA GAP YEAR VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS
Volunteers can begin our Uganda placements on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month (gap year programs can start every Monday but IVHQ prefer people to start on the 1st or 3rd Monday of the month where possible). Volunteers can choose to volunteer for periods of one week to six months.
UGANDA GAP YEAR VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
Volunteers must be over 18 years of age at the beginning of the program and have at least a high school education. Volunteers participating in the medical program must have appropriate training and certification (to be presented to IVHQ partner staff on arrival in Uganda). Volunteers on the HIV/Aids program should have strong background knowledge of HIV/Aids.
