Projects Abroad Wins 'Best Community Project of the Year' Award

Projects Abroad are a leading gap year organisation, they offer gap year community projects worldwide. Projects Abroad were winners of the Digital Entrepreneur award for Best Community Project of the Year. Projects Abroad and eighteen other digital businesses in the UK had their entrepreneurial talents rewarded at a glittering awards ceremony held in Manchester on Wednesday, 1 December.

Craig Ferriman, Programme Advisor, accepted the award and said: "It hasn't quite sunk in yet but it's very humbling and very gratifying. Because so many of our people and our volunteers are young people, social media is an obvious means of marketing and operating with them in a way that's friendly for them.”

Now in their second year, the Digital Entrepreneur of the Year awards are aimed at discovering and rewarding the best businesses on the web and were expanded this year to accommodate a phenomenal number of applications from high-calibre companies.
