The Maldives government requires Salaam School to conduct hospitality training of 20 individuals from marginalized population, to level of National Certification Level III. The trainings are to be conducted between February 2011 and April 2011.
B. Objectives
The trainings conducted will align to the Common and Core Competencies requirements of national standards, specifically in ‘Food & Beverage Service Personnel Training’ and ‘Room Attendant Training’ to the National Certification Level II.
C. Expected Outputs
The F&B Trainer – Core Competencies is expected to deliver the following
Deliver training in the Core Competencies Units of Food and Beverage Service Personnel Training. These include:
- Prepare Carry, server and clear food and Simple beverages
- Take simple food orders
- Collect payments
- Apply Knowledge of cutlery, crockery and glassware
- Set and lay‐up tables for services
- Take food orders
- Serve food and beverage
- Serve wine
- Perform complex food services
Training requirements including standards, training methodology and required materials will be provided. The potential trainer is expected to fill in gaps by mutual discussion with the management.
D. Expected Qualification of the Trainer
* Diploma in Hospitality Studies
* Fluent spoken and written English and excellent report drafting skills
* Being able to work independently, objectively as well as within a team
* Field experience of not less than one year
E. Duration and Place of Work
The work is expected to start in February 2011 till end of April 2010. The work is based in Maldives. The work includes local travel (sea and air).
F. Benefits
