America Gap Year Jobs!
Take a gap year in America and look for work? BUNAC offer jobs in America and if you are still looking some of the tips below will help!
BUNAC suggest:
• Start looking away from the job listings. Look at tourist websites of where you wish to go, locate companies and contact them directly; these will be the big employers of the summer months even though they may not specifically be advertising for staff.
• Search for country clubs/theme parks/restaurants etc to increase your chances of employment.
• The best place to start looking is down the East Coast, it swells during the summer months as it is a huge tourist spot for Americans.
• Remember it is America’s summer too, which is great for job hunting! Even if places are not advertising vacancies you should still contact the companies. If you are able to call the employers that may increase your chances of employment.
• If you want to work elsewhere away from the East Coast, carry out the same process, research the area you wish to go to and then have a look at their tourist websites.
